The DECOY VJ-30 Standard Head is a round jig head from the Japanese maker Katsuichi (DECOY) that suits almost every retrieve and depth. The maker stresses its good balance: the lure swims naturally, and the hook sets reliably even on a short bite.

The head has a thick-wire DECOY JIG11 Strong Wire hook, so it also suits strong tackle with braided line and big fish. A slim keeper holds the soft plastic firmly without tearing it, and the small eye keeps the head compact. The round head responds evenly to any rod movement.

What it is for

Fish: perch (1.8–3.5 g), zander and pike (3.5–7 g).
Hook size: #1–#1/0 for 3″ lures, #2/0–#3/0 for 4″ lures.
Weight: choose one that takes the lure to the bottom within a few seconds; deeper water or current needs a heavier head.
