About Nories
Nories was founded by Norio Tanabe, one of Japan's best-known anglers, who in 1993 became the first Japanese angler to win a B.A.S.S. tournament in the USA. Nories makes lures and rods for freshwater and saltwater fishing: Laydown Minnow minnows, Shot Over crankbaits, Road Runner rods and other products.
Laydown Minnow lures
Laydown Minnow is Nories' series of minnows, with several models for different depths. jig.lt offers two: the Laydown Minnow Mid 110 (112 mm, about 1 m deep) for pike and big perch, and the Laydown Minnow Deep Just Wakasagi (66 mm, down to 1.8 m) for perch and zander.
Frequently asked questions
Who founded Nories?
Nories was founded by Japanese professional angler Norio Tanabe, the first Japanese angler to win a B.A.S.S. tournament in the USA.
What is the difference between the Laydown Minnow Mid 110 and the Deep Just Wakasagi?
The Laydown Minnow Mid 110 is a 112 mm jerkbait that runs at about 1 m and suits pike and big perch best. The Deep Just Wakasagi is smaller, at 66 mm, dives to 1.8 m and suits perch and zander best.
Are Nories lures good for perch?
Yes. Especially the Laydown Minnow Deep Just Wakasagi: a small, deep-diving lure that vibrates naturally even on a very slow retrieve.
