Nories Laydown Minnow Deep Just Wakasagi – a premium JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) deep-diving minnow from the Japanese maker Nories. It is a shad-style lure with flat sides that imitates a small baitfish: the wakasagi, or Japanese smelt.
The flat sides create a natural vibration even on a steady retrieve, and the lure keeps its action on a very slow retrieve when fish are sluggish. When it touches hard bottom or cover, it works its way over it with flashing sides, and when stopped it shimmies its whole body to trigger a bite.
The lure is suspending: when stopped, it stays at the same depth.
