AviC 7″ – a premium Japanese-designed lure built to work in the most aggressive strike layer, just a few centimetres below the surface. Its creator, Takuma Akamatsu, applied the action philosophy of handmade lures: a natural swing that doesn't break the water but holds it firmly.
With its 7-inch (about 17 cm) length and bold silhouette, the AviC 7″ is especially effective for pike.
Unlike ordinary swimbaits, the AviC 7″ has a deliberately unbalanced weight distribution relative to the lip angle. This creates a controlled “disruption” in its action, which is stabilised by a specially designed tail.
The result:
-
a smooth yet aggressive swing;
-
steady vibration without chaotic movements;
-
the lure keeps its speed and stability.
The lure doesn't just “swim” – it grips the water firmly, creating a remarkably natural prey path.
The AviC 7″ works below the surface without ever fully breaking it. This is especially effective when:
-
pike are hunting from below;
-
fishing shallows, margins and along weed;
-
you need to provoke reaction strikes.
The lure stays exactly in the layer where pike expect prey.
