Gan Craft Jointed Claw 178 – a premium JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) glide bait from the Japanese maker Gan Craft. Its maker calls it the original S-swimming lure: it is one of the best-known Japanese lures that swim an S-shaped path.
Ordinary hard lures move because of a lip that pushes against the water. The Jointed Claw 178 has no lip: its two-piece body swims a wide S-shaped path on a steady retrieve alone. According to the maker, this action draws predators in from far away, and fish that miss often strike again.
The lure comes in two versions: slow sinking (SS) and floating (F).
Key features:

What it is for and what tackle to use

The rod and line recommendations are a guide: they help you choose, but you can also fish with similar tackle you already own.
